I E Error

I have just done complete format of pc and reinstall Win XP because of errors below plus others,everything went ok,pc going along nicely,untill the errors started popping up.This seemed to start after installing several Windows updates including one regarding future IE content that needs XHMTL(I think).This is driving me nuts,any help would be appreciated greatly.

Faulting Application IExplore.exe.version 6.0.2600.0,Faulting Module MSHTML.dll.Version 6.02723.2500,fault address 0x000847.

This message is what came up while in IE and also in Event Viewer.

type in (Start -> Run): "regsvr32.exe mshtml.dll"

That should do it.

Else you can try "sfc /scannow", now Windows checks all of the system files and replaces any bad ones with the version off the Windows CD. Make sure you got the Windows XP CD ready.
WARNING: Make sure you disable all programs running on the background, including, but not limited to, antivirus software and firewall (and you internet connection with it). This process can take some time, up to 30 minutes and may require to 're-update' some files, because they are replaced by the ones on the Windows CD.

Thanks for that Gboy,got a message up that said suceeded(spelling is rubbish),so far so good,will let you know how I get on,by the way what did it do and what caused error in first place.
