If you just want to delete selected ones go here>>>

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

    Delete the ones not needed.

Crap Cleaner tends to the be the favorite, since it works well and is free. However, I have used Webroot Window Washer for years, although it is not free, I love the fact I can write custom plugins for it.

Good idea indeed, but in this case I would say editing the registry is overkill, especially if the user isn't comfortable in doing so. If they were looking to delete certain entries, rather than the whole history (which is how I perceived the question), that would be the best way to go :)
