How do I undo this? (IE question)

Discussion in 'Windows Desktop Systems' started by PlagueWielder, Sep 14, 2003.

  1. Hey

I accidently turned off the box the opens up when u click on a download link and asks you where to save the file. Is there a way to get it back? I couldnt find anything in the options.

    Thanks

Open Windows Explorer (not IE) > tools > folder options > file types > find the extention of the files you want to download (.zip or whatever) click it > click "Advanced" > check "Confirm open after download"

  3. Is there any way of returning everything to the default? Its gonna take a long while if I do it one by one.

    Thanks

The setting should only apply to whatever file type you where downloading when you originally ticked the box

  5. Ok, thanks. That makes it a whole lot easier.
