How can I Access files simultaneosly?

    How can two machines access a file edit the file and save changes at the same time? is a server required and can it be done with a server

    Why didn't you put this in your other thread?

    The reason it isn't possible is becuase what if one person makes some changes then saves it. The changes then would not be reflected in the other persons document, they save it and the orignal changes are lost.

    The only time i've seen a document being edited "live" by different people is using by MSM application sharing. There may be similar programs avaliable, i'm not sure

    You could also setup an FTP Site using IIS and set it to only allow one use at a time to login.
