Help Advice Anything Please

Hi All

I posted the following in the Computer Security section earlier today but haven't had a response yet so I was hoping that some good fellow or fellowess might offer some advice here:

"Hi,

I'm talking about my-self here

I also have forgotten my password for XP Pro and just wanted to get a bit of clarification that if I re-install XP on my machine after upgrading to SP1 will I lose any of the saved/stored docs, programs, etc on my HDD.

Any help. advice or anything would be really appreciated.

If you do a repair - SP1 will be gone
your documents will still be there
& so will the password :-(
Only option is a fresh install & lose everything
Or
take the hard drive out & set it as slave on another PC back up your files then put it back for a fresh install

Is there any way at all that I can gey into my c drive and my documents to recover a few small files before the fresh re-install?

To do that you can use a dos boot floppy...
