    does anyone know of a good HDD Diagnostic program out ther that can give u a lot of information about it and tell u if there is something wrong with it????

    and if possable something that is free

    i performed IBM's D.F.T. on a maxtor before.

    i have a samsung but i downloaded ther prog and everything is goof not all i need to do is diganose the mother board

    any ideas on programs?

    Motherboards are hard to diagnose. I'm not sure there is any app for this. Except perhaps for SiSoft Sandra again. But then it would have to work enough to get you into Windows.

    If it is a an expensive hard drive get Sprinrite. It is not cheap but it will repair bad sectors

    thank you people for all of your help. i found what my problem was, my MOBO HDD controler was messed up and i am going to get a new mobo
