Hard Drive Problem with maxtor

It crashed when all you did was plug the firewire into a good PC?


That is freaky. I'd love to play with that drive and see what is going on. Even if it has a virus on it, if it is in an external enclosure and as long as it isn't the boot drive it should not be causing a problem. Unless some mal-ware already got copied to the HD in the good computer.

as you can see - it was a while before I got back to him and he chose not to wait (wonder why!) so I am being kind and pasting it in here... who knows - maybe he'll decide that is repworthy ?
