Is there a noticeable difference between a 2mb cache and a 8mb cache on a 7200rpm hard drive?

in typing a word document... no. however under stress, or high performance applications (games), the drive performs better then the 2mb cache ones. i am sure that someone will post a technical reason soon.

some say yes, some say no. i say, if there is a difference, it's not going to be very significant.

very true. you will notice in certian applications, but the margin is kinda small. Up to you.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
