Hard Dives

    I am running xp pro, and i have 2 hard drives one is a 40gb and the other is a 6gb, and i was wanting to know if there was a way to combine them as one,istead of showing local disk c:\ and local disk d:\,i wanted it to show only one local disk c:\

    Please help

    You can do it with a RAID controller, but not worth the hassle, you can buy a bigger hard drive for about the same money.

    I think using Dynamic disk structure does the same thing if you use it.. you'd have to double check this tho, I'm not too sure how to use it..

    I will have to study it a little more,it looks complicated,but i think i can do it if i set my mind to it, i'll let you know how it goes.

    Make sure you read the warning on that page also.

    "WARNING : After you convert a basic disk to a dynamic disk, local access to the dynamic disk is limited to Windows 2000 and Windows XP Professional. Additionally, after you convert a basic disk to a dynamic disk, the dynamic volumes cannot be changed back to partitions. You must first delete all dynamic volumes on the disk and then convert the dynamic disk back to a basic disk. If you want to keep your data, you must first back up the data or move it to another volume. "

    I just tried to do this,it is to complicated,i'll just leave it as is.

    I do have another question,i have my own domain name: http://www.pacco.info, and i was wondering if i could get windows xp pro to join this domain,and if not what domains could i join,is there a list or what?
