Please do not allow guests to view our profiles. Is there a reason as to why they can?

I happen to aggree, I understand your concern, I never thought of it, though it really is simple enough to join and prohibiting that wouldn't do much

please edit your profile so that there is nothing you would rather not be seen and maybe ep will concider some kind of policy change

You only put information in your profile which you want to be public. It only takes a minute to register and someone could have the details they wanted anyway.

I see no harm in profiles being public. If you don't want your information public, then simply don't give it.

I agree with Speedy,if you don't want something known then don't give it out.

heh thats an interesting way to keep your details secret :p

But yeah, if you got something to hide, hide it. Otherwise stop being paranoid.

Google probably has way more info on you than osnn anyways :p

I was nosey and went to find out what was in his profile that he'd like to hide, turned out to be nothing exciting in there  :cheeky:

He wants to have this forum like TechieHQ.NET I'm gussing his forum, where if you click on a name to see profile it make you log in.
The only thing that really protects against though it bots, and you can already hide your email from public view. So I don't see it as a problem.

I was thinking more on the lines of protecting other peoples information. I realize that someone can just join, but bots cannot.

One thing that sticks out is if someone adds their MSN email address for MSNM it displays the email address.

Just thought I'd point it out.

Your point is valid, but as is stated again and again, if you don't want it discovered don't share it.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
