Installed the card, no problems. Downloaded the latest Detonators, installed them, all working perfectly. All my games run beautifully.

    Problem!!

Ran the SVideo lead to my television, set it up as second monitor, installed Generic TV drivers for it. Output is Composite video with a display of 1024 x 768 @ 32 bit and 60Hz. The picture is good, color steady, but when I try to run a movie or video clip on this (TV) display it runs as though there is no hardware acceleration. (on my default monitor, a 17" NECH, movies run smooth as a baby's bottom!)
I have used a SCART socket into the TV using a converter.

    My system is:
    Athlon 1.2g
    Soundblaster Platinum 5.1
    40Gig HD
    512 PC100 SDRAM
    Asus KT166 Mobo
    and other bits and bobs

Any hardware geeks out there, PLEASE help

    hmm

get the latest drivers for your card from your cards manufactuerers home page. they should have support for tha tv out and mabey there not generic tv drivers. also that converter
could be a problem...does your tv have an s video port on it?

    ...

So you all know, GeForce 4 drivers from nVIDIA are now optimized...all machines I have seen with them score lower with all versions of dets than the drivers from nVIDIA.

    ya well

none of the new nvidia drivers will work with dvi, on the geforce 3
or 4 so i wouldnt say there optimized just yet, lol:)

    ...

i never said they were optimized for a GeForce 3, just GeForce 4 (specifcally MX440)

all i meant to say was that ive checked several machines, and the packaged nVIDIA drivers performed better on 3DMark 2001 SE than any and all versions of the dets

no prblem, its digital video interface, for a digital flat panel monitor. instead of analog.......;)
