All of a sudden firefox opens the "save as" dialog whenever I click on a link that is an image file. Anyone got any idea what I need to change to get normal behaviour back?

Sounds like your plug-ins are disabled. (in Firefox)

tools/options/downloads/Plug-ins (little button on bottom right)

check there and see if any are disabled. If they are this will happen.

I'll keep my eyes open on this one. I see you ran it over at the guys at Mozilla-Firefox Support. Good idea. Looks like other people are running into the same problem.

I got it figured out. Uninstalled the "download sort" extension, restart and reinstall the extension. Works like a charm now.

Could you provide a link to this Mozilla-Firefox Support? I have a problem and no one seems to know an answer here (Say it aint so!).
