A ferrite core is an inch and half long and about 3/4 in diameter. The cable will look like a snake that swallowed a rabbit.

No way to tell on the first one.
    The second one does not.

This cable claims to have a ferrite core but doesn't look that thick:

Its the only one I could find thats 2 metres (1.8 is fine too), specifically mentions its ferrite and is available from an online UK retailer.

techstore.co.uk are taking ages to get their stock of the cable so I looked for an alternative.

This also has ferrites doesn't it?

I noticed that it only has the bulge at one end unlike the one shown on the techstore site.

Will the Belkin cable be ok?

Yep, it has the snake swallowed a mouse bulge on the right side by the connector.
