    Hello,

it's been a few days now, but I can't seem to find what changed this ? Indeed, the shortcuts I have in the Links bar started to rearrange themselves in alphabetical order each time I close IE completely. It's a little annoying, so any help is appreciated ;)

    windows key+r

paste or type " favorites " hit enter

go to the links folder, open it, go to view, arrange icons by, change from "name" to "modified"

That was it, almost... the automatic rearrange was ticked... I'll wait a little while to see if this was the reason for it...
    Thank you anyway, Perris !

why don't you rename the links button?...my links button is called "cool stuff"

Rename the folder, then open regedit and change the data for LinksFolderName at
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar
to match the new name of that you just named the folder
