everytime i scroll the scroll bar, it eats up the cpu. im using amd 1700+
its very annoying because when i listen to music while i surf, the music will jerk and even slow down when i scroll the bar.

    need more info pal...

how much ram do you have... if you have less than 256 with WinXP you should definitely disable things like smoothscrolling, and other visualization things...

let me rephrase it again everytime i use the scroll bar in explorer or in ie, they eat up all the resources. when i release the scroll bar, the everything went to normal.

If it is a recent problem you could try doing a system restore.

that's really strange... i had a similar problem before the last fresh install i did...

everytime i right clicked a file in explorer, or in ie, they would eat up resources... since i did the fresh install it hasn't bothered me one bit... and i finally decided to never touch Easy CD creator again... didn't matter how many times i fresh installed, or reinstalled ECDC, it messed stuff up on my system... don't know if that was the culprit for the explorer stuff, but i have had absolutely no problems with my system since leaving ECDC off of it...
