    It is a real question.. The file is virus free

    Well, you really should enter more information about your issue. I am going to skip over this one because I do not like to have to download a file just to know what I am getting myself into. I am sure that almost everyone is that way. You posted this over an hour ago and only once has it been downloaded.

    Ok... I am not sure if I understand what you are trying to do, but here goes...

    The value in A4 is incorrect, right? You are wanting that value to be the average of the totals of all of the days, right? You do not want to average the individual tallies for each day, only the total for each day. I would use =AVERAGE(B5:N5)

    Hope that does it for you!

    Edit: That formula returns a value of 13 BTW...

    well... using the formula he was using he was getting the average transaction, not the average total per day.

    You didnt understand me.. I put all that cells (B5,D5,F5H5,J5,L5,N5) just to clear the point... they are not supposed to be there ...

    hmmmm why can't u understand me...

    is this what your on about, all totals for all 7 days divide 7 = 13

    =SUM(B3:N4)/7

    i made the formula up for you here.

    If someone is interested, after I understood the point this is the function I used : =SUM(C8:BJ9)/COUNT(C8:BJ8)

    Thank You, I Just didn't understand before the matematical issue before....
    It was not an Excel problem.... It was me forgeting Maths after 4 years in the army ...
