Trying to test out my new xfx 7900gt (factory oc'd 550/1630) using 3dmark06 and can't seem to make it through the test.
Using the free download version, I make it to the snowbound test (or whatever it's called) but at some point during that test I always get an error that ends up destabilizing my system and forcing me to reboot. It tells me I have some sort of direct3d error. Have no idea what the problem is.
I can play BF2 with settings at high with no problems at all, but for some reason 3dmark06 just won't make it through.
Any one know what the problem might be? Is it a reason for concern?
Here's the rest of my system:
Athlon64 3700+
Zalman 7000alcu
Asus a8n-e
2x1gb Corsair XMS pc3200 cas2
Soundblaster audigy zs
Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 sata 120gb
Antec truepower II 550w
