HI everyone, I figure the answer I'm going to get from this is no because I've tried looking all over the internet for an answer and no one seems to have any info on doing this. I want to get XP off the system and put windows 2000 pro back on but I dont want to lose everything on my C: drive (programs). Is there anyway of doing this without formatting????? Any help would be great

you'll have to back up all important data...then wipe that sucka!

remember to partition your hdd(s) next time you format...then you won't have this problem again. :)

Hey! I'm going to do the same thing too. Thank goodness I partition my harddisk earlier with 10GB for C: and 20GB for D: to keep own stuff. Else I'll have headache.

There's a software call partition magic, not sure if it could still maintain your data while u partition.
