    and the usual cautionary tale...

    yes - it is a useful link, esp. for people with more than one machine.

    One thing I'd like to pass on though is that even BIOS reading exposes you to some level of risk, insofar as it almost always involves a "dirty" read whereby the read is openning write enabled and if something happens, like a power failure, at the crucial nano-second then you may get the *phut* effect...

    Just in case anyone out there is the cautious type...

    I just tolerate my gigabyte board but they did one thing really right. DUAL BIOS!

    Screwed up, just switch to the old one.
