do u guys know how to password protected a folder or files?

    anyone of u know how to password protected a folder or files? i mean those using coding (a program or tools) to protect a folder without using the "make this folder private"

    i use winrar as my zipping tool, also it can turn a folder into a winrar file without compression, and you can password that.

    That depends on your programming language.

    If c++, I would suggest you find a forum dedicated to c++ for asking this question.
    If perl, I would suggest you find a forum dedicated to perl for asking this question.

    if you are running xp or 2k you don't need to password protect folders and files. just right click them, click the advanced button. then simply put a check mark in the encrypt contents box.

    quick and easy way to prevent anyone from finding your porn or warez.

    and beside that... i dun hav any idea how to apply any coding to those files....
    i mean like folder or files in my com......
    all i can find is like password protected those webpages (which we can modify inside the html...)
    but for folder or files.... no idea at all.... :(

    i just want to hav that option in my program...
    let say i hav file name A. i want to password protected it by enable it in the program... but just dun know how to do it....
