I replaced Diskeeper 7.0 with the newer version. It seems to be more of a resourse hog then 7.0. Does anyone else have the same experience, or is it just me? I used to be able to defrag w/ 7.0 and it would barely affect system performance while i surfed, etc. 8.0 seems to want what it wants when it wants it and I can hardly even open the Task Manager when it's running. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this too.

set it up so that it defrags during the screen saver. that's what i've always done...truly "set it and forget it" ;)

I also went from 7 to 8 ( latest build 8.0.478.0) it feels smoother and seems to defrag quicker.

Set n forget I always set to low priority, on high priority it lags big time.

I set mine to do it on the screensaver. Works like a charm!
