Still using beta version here. Having a problem with the desktop after turning off all visual enhancements. When I turn them back on, vista has lost the capability to show opaque windows, also the flip 3d no longer works. I think it's got something to do with the desktop composition function, but how do I access this function to enable it?

    Click Start. Type in services.msc
Look for "Desktop Window Manager Session Manager" - make sure it's set to Automatic, and that it's started.

If it's already started, right-click the Desktop, select Personalize. Click Window Color and Appearance, then click the "Open classic appearance properties..." link. Make sure "Windows Aero" is selected as the color scheme.
