TMPGEnc Plus.v2.512.52.161, you can go here to find where to get it: Link Removed and then visit here for tutorials: http://forum.doom9.org/.

TMPGEnc Plus is not a freeware application. Please do not post links to cracks and other illegal material. Read the forum guidelines. -NetRyder

That wasn't a crack site but a link to another forum. It wasn't a direct link to a crack nor a site that hosts cracks or sports banners to crack sites.

Whatever happened to free speech. So if I suggest to someone hey man do a search for TMPGEnc using astalavista2, Google, warezcrawler and it leads them to a site that hosts cracks am I in violation as well?

All I said you can go here to find where to get it, not you can get it here, there is a difference.

Peace out!

The link to the doom9 forums does not violate the forum guidelines, so it was left intact. However, the other link did contain links to cracks for TMPGEnc, and was thus removed.

Yes, since you are still indirectly linking to illegal content. Notice that I left the name of the program in your post. So he can still look for it. There is a free trial version available. There would have been nothing wrong with posting a link to the trial version, but posting a link to a site that provides a full version or a crack violates NTFS forum guidelines.

Hope you understand :)

astalavista is a security related site mostly, that it allows you to search for warez is up to the user who wants to go there.

I go to astalavista since most of the time it lets me know what the latest problems are in programs i use daily, and especially server software.

So i dont see why astalavista is bad.

Note: I NO WAY DO I PROMOTE WAREZ. Ill be thruthfull though, i too use warez, just as you do netryder, and dont say everything you got is legal, because trust me you to have at some time or another warezed a product.

First of all, the link posted was not to Astalavista.

Secondly, whether you or I use warez or not has nothing to do with the forum guidelines. The rules are not meant to prevent people from using software illegally. They are there so that the forums and the administrators do not run into legal problems if certain members post links to illegal content.

I guess my next question would be define 'illegal content'? The mere fact that we are on the subject of warez does it violate the rulez?

Again I reiterate that wasn't a crack site but a link to another forum. It wasn't a direct link to a crack nor a site that hosts cracks or sports banners to crack sites.

Its a forum that among other things discusses Email, Games, Messengers, Multimedia, Security, Systems, Phreaking, Programming, Satellites, Trojans, Virii and Websites.

I'll take it a little further, everything on the internet in one way or another are linked, so by this inevitable linking are we not in violation.

I'm not trying to be an arse about it, but welcome a healthy discussion on what I view as an imperialistic censorship. I didn't link to a site that hosts cracks, or warez, sports porn banners, warez banners or anything that in my view constitutes violating this forums rulez.

You don't allow posting of links to warez sites and I respect that. But I feel I should be able to point someone to where such things as software are discussed, and whoose forum members are allowed to point their members to other sites legal or otherwise.

Peace out!
