CS trouble

I have recently updated my OS to XP Pro (was WinME) and everytime i play CS i get a massive lag! a ping of about 2k and an error message saying "CL_EntityPacket" or something similar. i never got this with ME. any idea how to solve it, or where to get a patch for this?

Just reinstall it is all I can think of... I have XP Pro and I've never had a problem with CS... just make sure you use all the right updates and stuff...
