On topic:

I was thinking the same thing the other day. The large majority of users they don't need/use the extra CPU. Then again I'm probably just jealous cause my XP 1600 is slower than most new laptops.

Graphics acceleration and display seems to be the next plateau even though it doesn't seem like a lot of headway is being made there. I wish someone would make a worth while PCI graphics card for those of us without agp. I'll make do with the voodoo until I either get a new machine or mb.
