copy and paste

Hello,
If I highlight & copy something, say off a web page(email ect.,), then open Word (2000) and right click, I can not paste.

If there is something I want to copy I have to remember to open Word FIRST, then go copy and then paste to it.

I do not have the clipboard shown in my programs if that my be the problem ??

thats pretty much the way it works, I've had the same situation.

try cntrl + c

then to paste hit cntrl + v

that usually works for some reason, even if Word isn't open first.

I just tried it & mine works without 'word' being open first. Are you sure that what you are copying can be pasted in word. Try some text alone.

you do not have to use Word to paste something into... You can use any editor like notepad or even in a dos window you can paste.

BTW if you go to run and type clipbrd.exe you will get the Clipboard

Iceman tryed that.............. no go
Hipster , yes it's stuff able to copy because if I have Word open,
and then go and copy (or cut) it works.
