Nice little guide on how to control iTunes via a web-page locally hosted, very easy to set-up considering Mac OSX ships with Apache and PHP which can be enabled at the click of a button: http://www.macmod.com/content/view/95//
Note that the article states that PHP doesn't come with OSX, but in-fact it does, it's simply not enabled by default. To enable PHP do the following:

PHP isn't enabled by default, so you'll need to edit the Apache configuration file. It's located at /etc/httpd/httpd.conf. The necessary lines should already be in there, but commented out. Just remove the # from in front of these lines:
LoadModule php4_module libexec/httpd/libphp4.so
AddModule mod_php4.c
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps
You'll need to restart the web server for this change to take effect. All you need to do is go back to Sharing and stop and start it again.
