computer goes off

    Whenever i start a game my computer goes off within 3 mins.I tried reinstalling the driver,but it dint help.I got a n vidia 8800 gt.I got the latest drivers.I have this card from 7 months,i am have been facin this problem since the last 3 days.

    Sound like maybe a heat issue.
    Purchase some compressed air and clean your CPU/GPU heatsink and fans.

    In case it isn't heat related, right-click My Computer and select Properties. Click the Advanced tab and under the heading Startup And Recovery click the Settings button. In the next window under System Failure uncheck the Automatically Restart checkbox. This will allow the system to display a Bluescreen and help you diagnose what's wrong. Write down what it says and post it up if it happens. You usually only need to write down the first sentance or two, not all the "Stop Error 0X0000000..." stuff.

    You could also install Speedfan ( http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php ) and set it to log your GPU and CPU temps, might give you a better idea of what's going on temp-wise.
