My computer was hooked to my network LAN but now is at home with no network. Just dial-up internet access.
How do I eliminate the network drives from showing up in explorer and change my logon to *not* the work domain?
thanks,
bill g

WhaT OS do you have?

You should be able to right click on the drive and select delete or dissable or disconnect.

I would recommend creating a LOCAL account. Log on as the local account once. Log back off and log on as the administrator. Copy the profile of the network logon to the local logon profile. (Right click on My Computer/Properties/User Profiles to do this.) Then, as jkoXP suggested, right click on the network drives and disconnect them. Run gpedit.msc and check to make sure you do not have a local logon script, if so remove it. Hope this helps. Good Luck

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
