I cannot burn any CD's on Windows XP. I use Nero and every time I try to burn a CD I get a medium speed error. I've tried the slowest speeds. I've tried burning a CD from image on Hard Drive. I tried disabling IMAPI. I've tried track at once and disc at once recording. I've Changed the DMA setting to Pio only. Nothing seems to work. I can burn A CD with Windows Media Player, but it would probably take an hour. For some reason WMP will convert the songs then start copying like normal, but it will copy the first song and then close the CD and say that the other songs will not fit. I've also downloaded the Microsoft fix for the CD burning issues. I am soooo frustrated. Thanks in advance for any help

Do you have the latest ASPI layer installed?

    www.adaptec.com, amongst other places

Also might want to try uninstalling Nero, remove its registry key (b/u the reg 1st) and then reinstall.

What version of Nero? You may need to update it.

To anyone that has CD Burning problems: If you get the "medium speed error" try a different brand of CD-R's. I was searching the website if the makers of my CD Burner and they recommended certain brands of CD-R's. The ones I was using were'nt on that list. I went and bought new ones and have been burning happily ever since.
