can i delete $NtUninstallQ315403$ dir in windows

    i have about 10 dir of $NtUninstallQ315403$ in windows directory can i delete it?

    there the results of various windows updates that you have ran, yes you can delete them but you got to understand that if anything go's wrong system restore probably wont work, so its only if you really need the space you can delete them, if there not causing a problem, leave em alone mate.

    These are uninstall dirs and contain info needed for removing a patch. If you delete the you can not remove patches afterwards.

    System Restore will still function without these directores. By design its meant to cope with missing system files as it is a backup solution!

    Its recommended you may a restore point before and afterwards and also remove the associated reg entries releating to the uninstall menu.

    You will see them listed as Qxxxxxx

    Do not remove any other referance to them from the reg otherwise windows will not be able to confim patch installation.
