I am sitting here, after a few pints of the finest Cider. Watching Channel 4's Big Brother. Out of the hundreds of channels Sky offer this is what I am stuck with, however it will no doubt be a hot topic in the following weeks.

So I announce this thread as being the Official Big Brother 2006 discussion thread. So, what do you think about the new layout of the house? The housemates? Does Pete really have tourettes or is he just another of the TV's essentrics?

Its not that I enjoy watching it, but the fact that its either that or Porn... and as for the Porn even tho its paid for I really dont feel the need to watch it. The other few hundred channels all have even worse crap or repeats on right now.

but I do agree with you, I feel its a load of crap. However there is no denying that its a hot topic for some people, hence the thread :p

As much as I try to ignore it every year, there's always someone I know who likes it, it's unavoidable. I'll no doubt end up watching some of it :(

sounds like a possibility, but a tomahawk missile from the shore will probably still do a good job without killing everyone that surrounds the site :p

Big Brother is the modern version of Roman Galditorial matches. But without the Blood. And there are no Lions. But there are lots of spectators that Boo and Cheer on their favourites or just tune in to point and laugh.

Until Joe Public in the UK or wherever get bored with it, Big Brother will continue.

Actually, there's a thought. Maybe they could cross Big Brother with The Running Man, as it would be much more interesting to watch.

There isnt that much point in watching the damn thing anyway, its edited so heavily and with the sound drops there is no fun! Its all hype and a huge marketing scheme... that obviously works.
