what's the best FTP software that's pretty cheap?
nm, found itWS-FTP LE 5.08
pro v7.62 is better.
I use pro... The LE version is O.K. (used an older version of LE about 2 1/2 years ago when was still usin 98SE) if you are just gonna use it for basic stuff. Otherwise go with Pro.
Here's a link for an evaluation version of Pro:
Oh, here's a link to a site that has many FTP proggies listed and rated:
Then you can make a more educated decision.
For a Server: Serv-U 188.8.131.52
For a Client: FlashFXP
Serv-U is currently at version 4.1.
For a client, though a little 9x, I still use LeapFTP. current version is 184.108.40.206. I use it because it has all the other features the popular clients have, it's stable, basic and fast, and I think its the best for RAW commands.
FlashFXP ...is without doubt the best client
Bulletproof makes a very nice server ...very simple to use
I like SmartFTP the best. It has an interface more like Windows Explorer which I prefer to the method many other FTP Programs use.
It used to be free for everyone, but now you have to pay for commercial use.
I use AceFTP. The Pro version is free, but you have to submit info about yourself then they'll email you the reg code.
I have also used WS-FTP and I can say I like AceFTP much better.
smart ftp...........free an easy,,,or if you have places to look....koff kof...flashfxp
FlashFXP is my favourite
220.127.116.11 Pro actually - I have it
