i was very disappointed when AIM+ did not release AIM+3.0. so now i'm forced to look for a comparable AIM enchancment program. Right now i have dead aim, i thought i might use gaim, but i don't think it works very well with windows. Anyone have suggestions?

The latest version of DeadAIM seems pretty good. :)

I am running DeadAIM v3.0 and I have no complaints whatsoever. DAIM runs great and removes all toolbars and the ads. There are new features that are some what useful, such as the cloning feature. I don't really use the logging feature, but I suppose it would come in handy.

AIM+ is dead, and so is that site. What a waste. They can't get their act together (from what I hear).

I guess a new MyIM is coming out soon. For now, I highly recommend DeadAIM over GAIM and Trillian (I never cared for Trillian).

oh, and the best part about DeadAIM over AIM+, it works as a plugin, unlike an extra EXE like AIM+.

i use this old version of aim. no ad/spyware and also no blinking ads or flashy text. to me this is the best version of aim, but that is my opinion.

dont think so. i do use it and all the others are beneath it, aim versions that is. lets see u come up with something completely free of bs in it and i might use it.

    False.
AIM v4.8 final (or even 5.1.*) with DeadAIM v3.0 is free of ads and bulky toolbars. It works as a plug in so it consumes very little memory and works with the aim.exe (adds ~1MB of memory to the aim.exe process). DeadAIM also adds an easy to use message logger, transparency, cloning, etc.

Older versions of AIM are not compatible with newer options, such as IM Images, mobile IM, file transfer/sharing, and so on.

And AIM does NOT have any spyware (no matter what version).

Best of all, if you are up to the challange, you can use ResHack and remove any and all options you don't want to see.

this version supports IM images and file transfers and chat and dont need extra plugins to eliminate eye sores.

Plus it has im/message logging. look at pic attached and see
