I heard a little while ago about David Beckham and I think it was renaldo or one of the Brazilian players saying once they are almost done with soccer they would come to MLS and play.
Anyone think that would be the spark for soccer in the US and finally make it somewhat of a big sport? I love the game and go to atlanta minor league teams game, but its kind of depressing knowing the talent MLS has, and the funding and support just isn't there.

yeah, didn't even know they were playing :p

As for moving to MLS? I don't think there is enough cash in it to get players like that.

Beckham recetnly signed a new contract with Real Madrid so I doubt he's moving anytime soon. plus i think we would have heard somethign over here.

Although over the years many great footballers have playing the states, George Best,
Rodney Marsh and a number which escape memory.
