I was wondering, does a 8KB bad sector kills? I got this 8KB bad sector in my old system HDD and the HDD is already out of warranty.

small bad sectors are actually pretty normal on all HDD's, shouldn't be a problem really. if you reformat and reinstall an OS on it, the bad sectors will be ignored and nothing written on it.

they only become a problem if theres alot of them or theyre in the boot sector of the hd
