Not sure where exactly to put this...

You know when you insert CD's of different types (data, music, DVD, etc) windows pops up and asks you what you want to do? Well, I want to disable the autoplay for all types all at once for both my CDRW and DVD drive.

Is there a reg entry that can disable autoplay without me setting the "take no action" option for every event for both drives?

    In XP Pro:

    Start>Run>gpedit.msc
    Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates>System
Double-click "Turn autoplay off" and set it to Enabled.

    :)

In XP Home (gpedit.msc is not included):

    Start>Run>regedit
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer

Create a new DWORD value called: NoDriveTypeAutoRun
    with value = 0x000000b5 (181)

Thanks! That sure was much easier than going through all the settings for each data type and drive!!
