Ati 9200 on Hpbrio ba410

    im planning to buy an ati radeon 128mb 128bit videocard, and i have an hp brio ba410 cpu,but i dont know if the videocard is compatible with my motherboard,the agp on my mohterboard in only 4x..so is the videocard compatible with it?

    i don't know about no brio ba410, but if your mobo has an agp 2x, 4x, or 8x slot, then any 2x, 4x, or 8x card will work in it (both backwards compatible).

    you might not want the 9200, though. or if you do, don't bother getting the 128mb version. 128mb would only come in handy on more powerful cards like the 9500 and above. (memory amount doesn't equal speed)

    what do you mean by "both backwards compatible"?

    my budget is only $80 only..so im getting the ati radeon 9200...so instead of 128mb what should i get?

    agp8x cards work in 4x slots and 4x cards work in 8x slots. it's all compatible except agp1x hardware, which isn't.

    i would get the 64mb and save a little money. you'll never notice a difference.
