Arnold Wins!!!!!!!!!!!

Arnold's Agenda:

"Cutting violence in half with a laser-guided chaingun across a post-apocolyptic landscape... For the children."
-Jon Stewart

gonaads, tell us how your really feel...you seem to be holding back

I think everyone has the right to stand, and I dont see why you seem to hate him so much. So he was an actor, why does that make him stupid, or a dim wit or whatever? It was a career he got into unintentionally.
Just looking at his past career shows you that at least he will keep going, and has some determination and dedication to things, so why isnt he allowed to go into politics?

Voice of reason!

He's going to devestate the schools.

I'm not for the car tax but by repealing it and not raising taxes (so he says) that leaves another $4 billion unaccounted for.
Who'll pay for it? The students.

But the domocrats still have the house and senate so it should be pretty balanced.

ghey davis bent the schools over already my college one the #1 JC in cali now they can barley pay half the staff and can only pay the whole staff for the first semester. the way I see it, it can only get better from here if it gets any worse the federal government will step in and take over. I mean what kinda loser bankrupts the 5th largest econ. in the world...... he sold our power then charged us more money so he could buy it back. our napa store jupmed from a 400-500 dallor power bill to 800-1000 wtf is that?! davis' career is over I hope he took some of that money he stole from us cuzz he won't be getting another job any time soon.

Agreed :)
I'm quite curious to see what his plans are, and how he goes about implementing them.

you bunch of thick, dum dum's i would have though you ijiots would have learnt after regan, don't get halfwit actors to run government. then again look at your president.....

Voters stupidity overwhelms me (unless you voted for the big titted porn star to win of course ;)) (wait a min, that just about covers arnie )

he will even get ya'll doing the hitler salute next.....

(holds head in disbelief)

Thanks for setting me straight there. It's obvious that you are a political expert, and that you know what's best for America. And don't worry about characterizing groups of people by calling them names, as long as you say "nothing personal," they won't get offended.

Thanks for the optimistic viewpoint. Personally, I'm sick and tired of pessimism. I'm more concerned about the well-being of this country, not whether someone succeeds or fails.

Oh that would never happen, John Hinckley, Jr would hunt that person down :p

whatever happned to Torvolds LOL

I didn't want him to win, but I didn't want Arnie to win either because he'ld be pro MPAA/RIAA/BSA and from the Microsoft things

ah well, not my problem, I don't like there ;)

Hehe, was gonna avoid the whole Ronnie Reagan thang.
Too much ammunition ;)

One interestiong thing i'd like to see, is a bit of role reversal..
Imagine John Major busting through a door with an Uzi yelling
obscenities, and "poppin' some caps in asses" lol

Or Donald Rumsfeld (sp?) being held down in the forest and
called "purdy" as in "The Deliverence"...compulsive viewing i'm
sure.
Hey, it might even improve poll turnouts..:D:D:D

I think if Howard Stern or Rush Limbaugh ran for some kind of office, they would start noting that Reagan Spent a many years in radio, too. Heck, if a former college football player, a rancher, or an Army Air Corps (now the Air Force) officer ran, they could also draw comparisons to Ronald Reagan.

I can see what you're getting at HandyBuddy, and for the most part I agree.
However, every politician/celebrity went to school/breathes air, and then so did/do all us laymen. Ergo were all comparible? I think not. Reagan was known 1st as an actor, then a President.

The fact the US has a penchant for actor/politicians is why the references to Reagan are being made ;) (Apart from the fact that Reagan gave us non-American's years of entertainment (when he was in power.))
(I still look for Nancy's controlling rods for his mouth etc.)

Joking apart. The trouble I believe is, that if you're the kind of person that wants to dabble with politics on a global scale,
having spent most of your life in a different career could leave you at a disadvantage with other world leaders (Who've spent a life in Politics)
You may even be in danger of being woefully underqualified for the job, or worse yet embarrass your country by "inventing words" in front of the world's press. *cough* sorry Mr Bush.

However, I admire the Americans in that they really do get to have a democracy.
Here in the UK it's all spin and lies and dictatorship, and it really is an "old-boys" network where you are merited on the school you went to, who you know, rather than what you can do for the good of the nation. Pitiful, but true.

Nearly everybody I meet, can't stand Blair, and it seems no-one seemed to have voted for him. (None that'll admit to it anyhow ;))
He either lied his ass off to get in that post, or we're all (the English people) too stupid/proud to admit we made mistakes.

Point being it's all something we can do nothing about.
In general we have 3 main options: Conservative Liberal Democrats or Labour.
None of the party leaders seem up to the job, so I'd happily let an actor have a go.
At least they can gloss over bad news with a smile, and make it convincing. (Take note Mr Blair)
Good Luck Cali. I hope your choice pays off.
I'm just a wee bit sceptical as the track record ain't too good.
Hopefully Arnie'll prove me wrong.:D

Sorry this waffles on a bit. Just wanna clear up that I'm not Anti-American. Just anti-politician. :p :D ;)

At the end of the day Poiticians are all actors:p.

/runs & hides to avoid fallout :p

What a joke.

I can see the headlines in two months...

"I did not grope that woman, I had sexual relations with that woman." :p

Gonaads, You you think California wasn't a joke BEFORE Arnold came along?

wtf was wrong with california?! i've lived here all my life and ghey davis was our first real problem, don't hate because our state makes more money then your whole country.

i wish he was my governor....maybe NY will get Bruce Willis.

but, its not like he is stupid. so hes got some really big muscles and he talks kinda funny. hes a multi-billionaire, hes worked for Pres. Bush before, and hes related to the Kennedys. Perhaps that doesnt make him smart, but it does make him quite well connected. If anyone can make something good happen, im sure its him.

Krux...is your school S.M.C.? (Just curious)

Cal. is in the $ hole $9 Billion right now and in 60 days will be in the hole $25 billion. Arnold pledges to not raise any taxes.

How does one fill the Holes?

He's gonna cut, slash, and burn anything decent.
He wants to get rid of the Environment Protectin Agency and have our air set to (lower) national standards.

He's goona filet the community colleges too. Welfare programs. Probably most social programs.

I really want to see how that budget gets balanced. Should be interesting.

Al gore won the popular vote in 2000. It's an "old boy's club" here too.
