I have a maxtor... using it after my old WD drive crashed on me...
as long as you have the manufacturer warranty you should pretty much be ok.. might have to pay shipping and such but they SHOULD replace the drive if it fails if it is a name brand company...
check out WD/Maxtor/IBM/Seagate....
I personally like seagate the best... but the 10k RPM drives I want are out of my pocket's reach
i had a 20gig maxtor that was formatted at LEAST 25 times for about 2 years and ive had not one problem with it.
I got an IBM 60giger and that went after about 2 formats and 6 months use.
so i got 2x 80gig maxtors here now .
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
