This is the first time its happened to me and I run Lavasoft Ad-aware scan every week too.

Well when I bootup my PC, Windows Explorer asks for rights to access the Internet and when I let it, it opens up a Hostultra.com popup

If I deny Windows Explorer from accessing the internet, I can't browse the internet.

How can I remove this annoying popup?

I have done a full system scan with Ad-aware Pro SE 1.03 and the popup still appears

Ok, I've scanned with Spybot and it removed a few things but now after bootup I still have a open process of iexplore.exe and after about 2 minites I get a Explorer error

Got anything in your startup folder (perhaps even hidden in there.

    Also look in

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

For anything out of the ordinary.

Thanks Electronic Punk, I will try HijackThis.

I also just did a netstat on bootup and found where iexplore.exe is connecting to.

When I close iexplore, the connection disappears from the netstat list.

Yes. NTFS basically got flushed down the proverbial.
