I got a question... I've got Win XP Pro on my desktop and I've got 2 users set up on it. One of them is set up as a computer admin (let's call it A for convenience's sake) whereas the other is a limited account. My question is this: I understand that I can log in as a administrator by doing the 3-finger salute. But is the administrator account a seperate account or am I logging into account A? Thanks in advance for any assistance...

The Admin account is usually seperate from the other accounts.

Are you asking if each computer creates its own Administrator account? Yes, each computer creates its own account named Administrator on setup. THis is a special account that can only be logged into in safe mode. If you have a normal account with admin privleges, though, no matter what computer you log into it from, its going to be the same account. Does that answer your question?

P.S. did you make a normal account with admin privleges named Adminstrator? if so, change the name right now!

If you want to access the Admin account (XP Pro only) more easily, download TweakUI. There is an option in TweakUI that will allow you to put the Admin account on the logon screen.
