They use F8 to logon SAFEMODE then copy another account with admin rights from another XP PC into C:\Document & Settings and then they can relog off - logon using new account that has Admin rights.
They normally delete this account before I get home so I could not see how they were doing it, but last night they forgot..
I still don't understand how they activate it as copy alone does not do it.
Kw4ntuM: There are two things wrong with your post. 1. The passwords in XP (Pro atleast) are stored in the registry using one way encryption by default. This means that you would have to use the exact same encryption and a dictionary to find the password (unless it's a strong password and then you would have to brute force it). 2. You dont type in english which makes you quite unbelievable... not to mention that you're post has nothing relevant to securing a system.
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
