I formatted my comp, and installed the 52.16 drivers and ran some benchmarks on my FX5600 256mb, and got the scores in my sig. Then i decided to roll back to the 44.03 release to see what differences there were. My 3dmark2001 went up by around 500, 3dmark03 went up by 100, but Aquamark3 dropped a whopping 6000 marks, from 17000 odd down to around 11000. Apart from the dx9 "optimisations", anything else that could cause this huge difference?

    thank 007,
i installed the Omega 45.23 drivers in "performance" mode. My Aquamark score went back up to 17200. Yet to test 3dmark2001/03

Yeah it seems that 44.03 drivers inflated my 3dmark2001, coz its around 8700 for 45.23 and 52.16, and 9200 for 44.03. I also had this with my other gf4ti, i once got 11784, and then it went back down to 11k after newer drivers. I hope the Omega ones got rid of that

All there is between them is 2000 marks :) It probably because you got the 128mb version, which has faster memory speeds, and you also have an almost 3ghz cpu, with the overclocked memory and all. And the questionable ethics of the 44.03 drivers ;)

I think 52 drivers fastest in real terms for real games but far too buggy for now. :)

as far as bugs go, i have only seen some textures being messed up when i play games. thats about it.

Biggest mistake ever - already expressed this in another thread. At least faster with anistrophic filtering and antialiasing and has Direct X 9 support :)
