    Who's built a Core i7 system?

Any particular reason(s) for those choices? I'm partial to Intel motherboards and was planning on using a DX58SO or if it's out when I build a DX58SO2. I've had very good luck with G.Skill RAM too...

    Where are e-mail files?

OS is XP Pro 32 bit BTW. I found the .pst file by both the method posted above and through a search. It's one file though. I was hoping to find the files like they show up with Outlook Express (.dbx files)..... (inbox, sent, deleted, etc.) I guess that's not possible. Thanks a lot for the help.

    Who's built a Core i7 system?

Anyone here built a Core i7 system yet? If so, how does it compare to Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad? I haven't built a new system in a while and have been considering building a new one using the Core i7 940.

    Where are e-mail files?

What is the suffix for e-mail files in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007? When I used Outlook Express I could do a search for .dbx files and find them. Anyone know what to search for when using Microsoft Office Outlook 2007?

    HD Drive

I have three Lite-On CD/DVD burners - two SATA, one IDE. Never had a problem with any of them. I'd consider buying another Lite-On if I were in the market for another optical drive.

    :laugh::laugh::laugh: I know what you mean! With two Q6600s running @ 3.2GHz, a QX6700 @ 3.5GHz, and a Q6700 @ 3.6GHz I need an Arctic cold front to make it's way down. :yowch:

    Overheating Problem

I find it hard to believe that overclocking your CPU was causing the problems unless it was getting way too hot. Sound to me like it's a video card problem. All of the below run 24/7 and 100% CPU usage. They do put out a good deal of heat. I have them in three seperate rooms to spread out the...

Finally, ready to buy. Please comment

I've purchased many items from Newegg. No problems so far. I've never used their "customer service" so I can't comment about that. For the rest (in the order you listed the parts): Q9450 should be just fine for what you want to do. The Q9550 is coming out soon though if you aren't in a hurry...

    Overheating Problem

I used to use only Artic Silver Ceramiqe or Arctic Silver 5. Both of those are good. However, I was involved in a TIM test recently using Innovation Cooling Diamond 7. That stuff amazed me. It's very good. Best TIM I've ever tried. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=182778

    Overheating Problem

Can be if one is not careful. A lot of people do overclock though. I am one of those that do. No ill effects here.

    What is MCP?

No, it is not your CPU. That's your "Southbridge" chip. Don't worry about it.

    New System: Starting Troubles (simple)

Don't fool with the voltage or multiplier at first. Just change the FSB. See how far you can go without increasing voltage. At some point you'll need to start raising the voltage to your CPU and/or RAM to get a higher overclock. Check out the following link. It is a completely different...
