Would a Duron 1.1Ghz Retail Fan work for a XP 1800+? Just wondering. Couldn't find anything on the fan to tell me what type it is only an AMD sticker with bar code and serial number.

It may be a comptability issue with having the Quantum and the Maxtor together...try making sure the HD jumpers are set properly. I have had issues like this before and I just had to double check the jumpers on the HD to fix it.

I went with the Biostar M7NCD-Pro since it had the nforce2 ultra 400 chipset. The 20 computers I built for work have Biostar boards and havent given me any issues.
