Ok..... i'm using the Zalman CNPS9500 AM2 cooler. my question is...... am i better off connecting it to the CPU fan header, or one of the other chassis fan headers? i think it still adjusts it's speed automatically when i have it connected to the CPU fan header as the CPU temp get's higher and lower.

Are you using the "Fan Mate"? If so, then it will control your fan speed depending on how you have it set.

Personally, I connected mine to the CPU fan header and it works fine, zero noise.

I use the fan-mate myself.

My gpu cooler didn't have one so I just plugged that to the assosciated adapters it came with (5v for lower fan speed).

My cpu fan is about 1400 rpm  love it.

The headers themselves should not matter but some mobo's need for you to plug it to the cpu fan header so it doesn't release a warning saying no cpu fan detected.

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS

Been running around Quora lately, luv it there https://tinyurl.com/ycpxl
