SYMPTOMS
You may not be able to start version 2.52 of the Sharman Networks Kazaa program on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2). However, the Kazaa program icon may appear in the notification area. Additionally, if you move the pointer over the Kazaa program icon in the notification area, the icon may disappear.

I imagine they would tell you to install 2.7 anyway

i dont know why the hell u would want to install kazaa anyways, thats what kazaa lite ressurection is for!

FYI just checked Kazaalite works fine under SP2 here, although I have modified TCPIP.SYS and did have to allow it through the firewall.

i bet kazaa media desktop doesnt work cuz it comes with cydoor, which now microsoft protects against after installing sp2. but thats just a guess
