Need help

I was running core media player and I was trying to associate the movie file types with core media player but a windows pops up saying “you are running a limited account, administrator rights are required to register file types. Please contact your administrator for more information."

Yes my account has admin right. I also tried using the admin account in safe mode and reinstalled codec

i'm lost


I am running win x64

Any help would be appreciated

try making a new user account, logging into that new admin account and do what you are trying to do. If this works, you know is there a problem with your user folder and we can go from there.
