XPdrivers 4 hitachi DZ-MV100A DVDCAM

hi everybody,
hitachi has released only drivers 4 win98 and win ME http://dvdcamstore.hitachi.com/dzmvscsi.zip
this cam (DZ-MV100A DVDCAM )is something like an external, usb, dvd-driver but xp doesn' t show me any (F🙂 driver after the hardware connection
can you help me suggesting where to find a modifyed driver?
the driver i own worcks fine on the win98 pc of a friend of mine, is it possible to modify the original .inf file ?

chances are the cam will be recognised by XP

have you tried to install with the built in drivers?

yes but it gives an installation error and the device doesn' t appear. any other sggestion?

damn i dunno. strange they only got drivers for 98/me or u could force 2000 drivers to work.
Is there no updates appear when the cams installed?
I get 1 for my cam everytime i plug it in and use the update site. LOL trouble is the update screws the cam up.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Currently, there are no plans for a
Windows 2000 or
Windows XP compliant driver. At this time, the unit is only compatible
with Windows 98
or Windows 98 Second Edition. Hitachi has plans for a driver compatible
with
Windows ME.
